Catching up....almost

It's snowing! In April! Oh, how we love the mid-west weather. Brenner and Aiden are also sick, so I canceled my therapy and training and guess what that gives me....time to blog!

Yes, these pictures are all old, but we all still pretty much look the same. ;-)

So I'll start with Easter. Here are some pictures of the egg decorating. A favorite family tradition we all get into.

Me helping Aiden color only the egg red.

Parker

Brenner sat sweetly in his high chair watching the fun.

Here are a few of our creations.

Easter morning the kids found that the Easter Bunny did find us in Nebraska.

The Easter Bunny must know that Parker loves to read.

Both boys received calculators. This is Aiden punching away on his.

Brenner had eggs full of gold fish crackers and a musical push toy that he pushed around the rest of the day.

During the week of spring break Wayne took a day off work so we could try out our new zoo pass. The zoo here is a good size for being right in the middle of down town Omaha. We were there most of the day and didn't even see half of it.

And how do you have a zoo in the middle of town you ask? Let me show you.

People live directly across the street from the elephants. How'd you like to have that view?

Parker and Aiden in the penguin bubble.

Brenner sat in the stroller most of the day.

Parker and Aiden in the cave formations.

The boys sitting in front of the jelly fish. It was this huge glass tube of jelly fish lit by black light so they glowed purple. It was really neat looking.
Even though Aiden looks spaced out we had a great time and we are anxious to keep using our pass.
Aiden turned four a week ago and we took him bowling, but I don't have those pictures yet. So until next time...

My Excuses...

...for not posting.

-Most of the time I am a single parent. Having three little boys to get to and from school, preschool, and play dates, plus feed and clean up after all by myself can be very time consuming.

-I am totally sick of my camera. Because of that we use Wayne's work camera. The problem then becomes when I find some time to post Wayne is usually at work...with his work camera. So I don't have the pictures I want to post. Then I get the pictures and POOF! no more time to post until a week or two go by and the pictures are now old.

-Our computer is set up on a built in desk area in the kitchen/eating area. (Did you get that?) This is very convenient when I want to check email really quickly while making dinner or check weather really fast before school. But it's very inconvenient when I want to sit at the computer for a long period of time and work on something. The boys are running around me constantly either pulling on me or asking for things. Sometime I miss being able to close a door.

-No one here blogs. People almost think it's weird to find out you blog. So unlike CA where everyone talked about their blogs all the time and we all tagged each other and it was lots of fun--I'm kind of out of that loop now.

-I am training for a triathlon in June. Anyone who has been around me in the past year knows I am holding onto an extra 30 lbs or so. So I need all the training I can get. This takes up about 2 hours of almost everyday. (Yes, very time consuming!)

-Since I have been training an old knee issue has become a problem and now I have started physical therapy. Three days a week for an hour each session. They found my left leg was shorter than my right because my left leg muscle were tighter, so they fixed that. We are doing exercises and they have electrically shocked medicine where my knee hurts, but right now the PT is not convinced that it isn't something to do with my meniscus which could eventually mean surgery. Not fun.

-I'm just plain lazy. After doing all the things I'm supposed to do, I'm too lazy to do some of the fun things I want to do. I usually just end up going to bed.

If this all sounds very whiney and trivial and not like very good excuses...it is. Are there really ever any good excuses??
